… the dim diary is an Australian dream travelogue. The idea emerged during journeys through the bush. The consistent environment accommodated us with comfort, care and shelter, within a solitude that comes with a vast absence of people. We felt contented, most uniquely during the night. A paradox? A journey through a deathless dream in which landscape, sky, distance, time and self all merge into a whole. An environment of infinity and cosmic transition, the dim diary exploits a unique rhythm – a very, very slow pulse. A parable of night and day, darkness and light, black and white, transcribed with what we have out there – Land Cruisers, torches, the performance of our bodies. A dark halo of matter, no trace left in the bush …
